I'm lucky enough to consider Marly a friend - as are many people! And so I was thrilled when I got the chance to review her new book!
Cold Weather Crochet includes 21 patterns for afghans, garments, and accessories like hats, gloves, shawls, slippers, and cowls - and many are easy enough for beginners, while others are a little tastier! It's a great balance of skill levels, and looks!
And they aren't just for cold weather, either. Many of the pieces can be worn year round, like the Lace Motif Wrap!
I had to give one of them a try - though it was hard to pick one! But I had exactly the yarn needed to make the Pewter Slouch Hat!
And tada! It was super fun to make, with Lion Brand Angora Merino. The directions were well written, but the chart made it even easier! And the stitch pattern is beautiful. It was super fun to make!
