If you love the look of broomstick lace, then you have to check out Broomstick Lace Crochet, by Donna Wolfe, out just in time for the holidays!
Broomstick Lace Crochet is a new take on a vintage art. If you aren't familiar with broomstick lace, it's made using a huge knitting needle (the “broomstick”) and a crochet hook. This technique creates a distinctive lace stitch that’s fun to make and beautiful too!
The book starts at the beginning, teaching the basic stitches, as well as increasing and decreasing, changing colors, and stitch variations—all with step-by-step photo tutorials. And of course there are the patterns - 20 original designs ranging from baby items to designs for the home.
And if Donna Wolfe looks familiar, you probably know her from her popular NAZTAZIA YouTube craft tutorial channel! Her basic crochet video has over 6.5 million views and her broomstick lace videos are already at more than 1.5 million views—and growing. Here she is talking about her new book:
The tutorial illustrations in Broomstick Lace Crochet really are excellent - full color, clear, nearly as good as her videos! And there's a great variety of patterns - an infinity scarf, skirt, purse, baby items, shawl, blanket, and more! I would recommend Broomstick Lace Crochet to both newbies and experienced crocheters alike!

I have seen broomstick lace and thought it is very Beautiful. But never tried it. But there are a few patterns in this book that makes me want to try it. So I have asked Santa to bring me this book for Christmas, I promise I have been a good girl even though I am in love with hooking. (I made sure to explain hat it was the good kind of hooking, so he knew I am a good girl.) ha ha
Thanks for the give away.

I have come across this stitch a few times and thought it looks really effective but have not tried it yet, i have not found patterns or tutorials yet. The projects shown, are very appealing to me as i am interested in bags and unusual items to crochet and / or knit. The book would certainly come in handy!
