Big Sky Shawl – free crochet pattern
Clover US-P/Q, 15 mm Jumbo Hook
The key to making the Big Sky Shawl is the stitch marker! As long as you move that stitch marker up each row, keeping in the center stitch of the point, it’ll be smooth sailing.
While the pattern includes instructions for color changes, this is where you can really have fun with the pattern! Add more stripes, use the bits of Homespun in your stash, heck work an art yarn in there if you like! The simple double crochet stitches can handle it!
The Big Sky Shawl is a wonderful pattern for prayer and comfort shawls, and is great for traveling too! With the pattern memorized, you’ll be able to crochet it in the car or in the air – whether you’re traveling to big sky country or not!

That’s a pretty shawl. Reminds me of a friend I have in Montana.
