It took me less than an hour to create the cut file in Cricut Design Space, using the shapes provided. Then pop the leather in the machine, add the yarn and earrings, and done!
You can make your own pair of Leather and Yarn Earrings in less than half an hour - because I'm sharing the Project in Design Space and the instructions below!

Instructions
Step 1: Go to the link above to open the Cricut Project Link. If you're making more than one pair, you'll want to Customize the file and duplicate the image as many times as desired before moving to the cut! Copy and paste works great!
Step 2: Be sure that you move those star wheels to the right, and insert the Deep Cut Blade for cutting leather! If you're using a different material, be sure to enter that and follow the instructions on the screen.
Step 3: Put the leather on the Cricut cutting mat, and secure the edges with washi or masking tape.
Step 4: Let the machine do its thing! Done in literally minutes!
Step 5: Use the pointy tool to pop out the small hole at the top for the earring, and remove the chevron inserts as well.
Step 6: Cut 10 lengths of yarn, about 7 inches long each (5 per earring). Add them to the earrings using your fingers or a yarn needle. Use a yarn needle to separate the strands of the yarn if desired. Trim the yarn ends to mirror the angles at the bottom of the earring or as desired.
Step 7: Add the earrings to the small round holes at the top. And done!
And just like that, you've got a gorgeous new pair of DIY boho earrings! These Leather and Yarn Earrings are so much fun to make, super on-trend, and great for gifts and craft fairs.
I hope you'll try making a pair - or dozen - of your own! These are great for any bits of yarn you love - the Bernat Beyond was perfect for fringing, but here's where you make them your own.

Thank you so much! I'm sorry if you tried the project link and it didn't work - there was some glitch but Cricut gave me a new link so I think we're all set! 🙂
Amy Brune
The link to the cut file isn't working. I get an error that says Project Unavailable - Project not visible at this time. Any idea what could be wrong? I want to make these!!

Hi Amy! I'm on hold with Cricut while they try to figure it out. A technical mystery! Does this link work for you? https://design.cricut.com/#/landing/project-detail/5dc0aa25e14ff906ac46666a

And they just gave me a new URL! Updating... 🙂
