20 Free Crochet Patterns for Holiday Gift Giving on Craftsy!

Published: Nov 19, 2014 by Tamara Kelly · 15 Comments

Recently I showed you how to find the free crochet patterns on Craftsy, and there are so many great ones! So I've been working with Craftsy to put together a special page right on their site, with all the patterns in one place, featuring 20 Free Crochet Patterns for Holiday Gift Giving on Craftsy - hand picked by Moogly, just for you!

20 Free #Crochet Patterns for Holiday Giving on Craftsy! :D

In these 20 patterns, I've tried to include a little something for everybody on your gift list. There are free crochet patterns for the new baby...

    ... and for kids...

    ... and for fashionistas....

... and for the home decor lovers!

20 Free #Crochet Patterns for Holiday Giving on Craftsy! :D

I even got a fun pattern for the guys on there - a generally picky bunch, when it comes to crochet! In addition, there are a couple of cute pouches to hold little things, like gift cards or crochet notions! These 20 free crochet patterns are from a variety of designers, and are all downloadable right from Craftsy. And if you download them and then can't find them on your computer (ahem, not that that's ever happened to me... ahem ahem), then they'll remain on your profile, ready for you to download again - to the right folder that time!

    Also... how fun are these??

Broomstick Lace (NOTE: add attached photos and tutorial): Broomstick lace rows are worked in two “passes” - the Loop Pass and Return Pass, both from the right side of the fabric. In this pattern, the broomstick lace rows will be written as two rows in the pattern, one for each pass. There are two different kinds of Return Pass used here. Loop Pass: : At the end of the previous row, do not turn. With the knitting needle held to the left, slip the last loop on the hook onto the needle (counts as first loop). Moving from left to right across the row of regular crochet, skip the first sc and *insert the hook through both loops of next sc, yarn over and draw up a loop. Slip the loop onto the needle, without twisting; repeat from * across, do not turn. Return Pass in Ones: Remove the knitting needle from the loops, being careful not to twist or pull on them. Starting on the right side of the row, insert your hook into the first loop, pull the working yarn up to the height of the loop, yo and pull through the loop. Ch 1, and sc in the top of the big loop. Sc in each loop across to the end. Return Pass in Threes: Remove the knitting needle from the loops, being careful not to twist or pull on them. Starting on the right side of the row, insert your hook into the first 3 loops, pull the working yarn up to the height of the loops, yo and pull through the 3 loops. Ch 1, and sc 3 in the top of the three loops as if they were 1. Work across the row of loops in groups of 3, working 3 sc in each group.

To download patterns from Craftsy, you do have to sign up for a free profile. But it's super easy, and free free free. And totally worth it! Because you can download all these great patterns, purchase still more patterns, take amazing classes, shop for yarn (usually at a big discount!) and more! The site is super easy to use.

To download a pattern from Craftsy, just click on the pattern you like, click "Add Digital Item to Cart," and then "Add to My Patterns." Then it'll be on your "My Patterns" page ready for you to download whenever you're ready!

So get on over there! Check out these 20 Free Crochet Patterns for Holiday Gift Giving on Craftsy - then come back here and let me know which of my picks is your favorite!

WOW, there are so many neat patterns! I think the light bulbs are too cute, the teething necklace is a great idea and the little snowmen are so sweet. 😉

Where is the post about finding the free patterns on craftsy that you mention you posted recently? I ask because I'm already on Craftsy, but the site is HORRIBLE to navigate on my iPad. It's impossible to sort and filter so I have to wade thru the paid patterns mixed in w the freebies.

      Love me some Freebies!

I have hooked up (ha ha! -a crochet pun!) all my knitting circle pals with you, Moogly, I mean Tamara! Bringing the love into the fold!

Thanks in advance. Keep doing whatcha do, Girl. You ROCK!
