Just two weekends to go and Christmas will be upon us! If you’ve got last minute crafting to do, or just want to plan a project to work on over the holidays, this post will help you keep save money at the big box craft stores this weekend. It’s down to the wire, but there are still deals to be had!
Many of these sales only last through the weekend, so be sure to click on the name of the store for current prices if you’re shopping next week!
On the site, enter your zip code to get the coupons for the store closest to you. This week I got a coupon for 40% off any regularly priced item, same as last week. If you picked up the Holiday Gift Guide booklet a couple weeks ago there are 40% off one item and 20% off your entire regular purchase coupons in there that are good for the next week. And don’t forget to hold onto your receipts – there are coupons printed at the bottom for more savings! Michaels has a mobile app with coupons as well, so be sure to download that if you can. Sign up for the email newsletter, and Like Michaels on Facebook for more coupon opportunities.
All the Christmas yarns are still on sale for $1.99, but don’t count on a big selection – when it’s gone, it’s gone! Loops and Threads Flaunt and Cozy Wool, Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, Caron Simply Soft, Red Heart Soft and Shimmer, Vanna’s Glamour, Fun Fur, Lion Brand Amazing, Sashay, Starbella, and Loops and Threads Looms are all on sale through Saturday.
No flyer for me yet again this week, but the last flyer I received has coupons for 40% and 50% off one regularly priced item that are good all the way through December 24. Coupon Commotion is coming up December 14-20, and those coupons are in the center of that flyer – including five 50% off coupons for any regular-priced item! There are usually flyers inside the front door of the store, so always check the basket on your way in – mine’s been empty lately, but it doesn’t hurt to look.
They have the usual printable coupon for 40% off any regularly priced item. There are an iPhone app and a new Android app that include the same 40% off coupon and ad info, and also have a feature that let you check gift card balances. You can now get the same savings on your non-Apple/Android smart phones by visiting m.hobbylobby.comand showing the cashier the coupon on your phone.
Craftsy currently ships to the USA and Canada only, but they should have International shipping options very soon! I’ll be watching this closely! Within the USA you’ll need to order by December 17th for guaranteed Christmas delivery.
Currently at Craftsy they are offering up to 75% off on yarn – including some gorgeous stuff you won’t find in the big box stores, like Cascade, Rowan, and Skacel! This is a great way to try those yarns you can’t get without a local yarn store. There are too many to list, so click here and then go to the Shop to check them out! There are also some great sets and other crafty items that make great gifts for crafters, and you can give class gift cards too.
The current best choice I know of for international shipping – please let me know if you know of others! Now through December 19th at Herrschners there are 43 different yarns on sale, including Lion Brand Amazing, Martha Stewart Crafts yarns, and lots of Herrschners store brand yarns. And the WOW deal of the week – a Mix & Match Mill End Assortment on sale for 86% off! Get on their email list for notifications when they update their sales.
