The Yarnspirations Facebook page is always full of great inspiration, and I know many of us were swooning over the gorgeous projects in the Yarnspirations 2014 Fall Look Book - so many great new patterns and projects! One pattern that really caught my eye was the Graphic Stripes Pouf. I had to make one - and now Yarnspirations is giving away the yarn for one of you to make one too!
The pattern is the Graphic Stripes Pouf - free download on the Yarnspirations website. And the yarn is Bernat Softee Chunky! It lives up to it's name too - soft and thick and just all around fun to crochet. With an L/8 mm hook, it works up really fast - I made the pouf in just a few evenings! Here's the photo from the pattern:
It's a very easy pattern, and fun to make - a great Netflix project! And the Pouf is such a great piece - a chair, a footstool... some even use them to store spare blankets! The Graphic Stripes Pouf is particularly great looking, and a great way to freshen up an old beanbag. Here's mine:
Personally, I love it even for a new beanbag too. With the Graphic Stripes Pouf you've got a removeable and washable beanbag cover - so important with kids and pets. Ours is currently stuffed with some spare pillows - and as you can see, it got claimed right away!
So how would you like to win the all the yarn you need to make your own Graphic Strips Pouf? Yarnspirations is giving away a Graphic Stripes Pouf Yarn Kit (11 skeins of yarn!), and I'm super happy to host the giveaway here on Moogly!
The giveaway is open in the US and Canada, and ends December 16th at 12:15am Central time. To enter, just fill out the form below with your email address.
Then you can subscribe to the Yarnspirations newsletter (free patterns in your inbox!), answer a quick math question, and tweet about the giveaway (if you have Twitter) to earn optional bonus entries! If you're in Canada, the math question is not optional (due to Canadian regulations).
Good luck everybody! Get Moogly on your favorite social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr, and sign up for the Newsletter so you don’t miss a thing! Thank you to Yarnspirations for providing the yarn for the Moogly pouf and sponsoring the giveaway!

Just curious as to how you closed the final project up, so that you could unstuff it to wash it? I've been wanting to make one of these, but have not done so because I don't want to undo the stitching every time I want to wash it. Thanks!
Tamara Kelly
Great question Anna! This pattern is actually written this way, to be able to take it off/on. It uses a drawstring at the bottom! 🙂
anna
Thank you! I guess I could (should) have checked the pattern. I've just never seen a pattern for one of the poufs written with a drawstring! That's awesome!
