April showers bring May Flowers - and Pinterest is full of all sorts of spring and summer ideas this month! From Mother's Day to popsicle recipes, and more market bags than you can shake a stick at. Pinterest has lots of great ideas, but it’s easy to overlook some great ones (and not everyone pins!). So here are direct links to some of the ones I think are worth a closer look. The first 5 pins are ones I pinned to the moogly board, the last is always a bonus pin from one of my other boards!
Unpinning Pinterest for May 2013
- Crochet with Wire & Beads on CraftyPod: This is something I've always wanted to try, but I could never figure out how to get started. This tutorial really spells it out, along with fantastic photos. I feel like I can do this now!
-
Baby Head Bands (Tutorial) on Lanas de Ana: Free pattern, with photo tutorial, in mulitple sizes AND languages! And the use of the elastic is brilliant!
-
Signing with Crochet on Sheep Dog's Fleece: "I Love You" in ASL! This is such a great gift idea - for Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, and anyone who just needs to feel the love. Free pattern included!
- Easy Knitted Plaid on WEBS Yarn Store Blog: Surface crochet and knitting are a great combo! Love this idea!
-
How to join your yarn by making a double knot by Jane Richmond on YouTube: I shared this on the Moogly Facebook page a week or two ago, but I had to make sure everyone sees it! Too cool!
- BONUS - 27 Ways To Make Your Groceries Last As Long As Possible on Buzzfeed: (This site is occasionally NSFW, though this post is family friendly. You might want to wait til you're home to click though, just in case.) There's lots here I already knew, but some great new info too - and a whole lot more than what's shown below! I need to print these out for my fridge!
So what sorts of pins are you pinning these days? Are you still Pinterest crazy or have you avoided the whole thing so far? Either way I hope you enjoy this roundup of some of the best things I found on Pinterest this past month!

I love the video on how to seamlessly join yarn! I normally use a Russian Join, but the way she did it in this video looks less complicated. I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks for sharing!

😀 You're welcome! I hope it works for you!

I love Pinterest! I mostly pin food, interior and exterior home decorating ideas, not to much in the way of yarn and crafts.

I love the crocheting of beads. I too always wondered how it was done. Thanks for posting it!
