Yesterday was our 8 year anniversary.  Which means the Producer and I have been together for 12 1/2 years.  Are we done yet?

 (Ha ha! Just kidding honey!)

Actually, he bought me a loverly bouquet of roses.  As you can see.

I bought him a 6 pack of Sam Adams beer.  Ah love.

The kids were not so into the whole anniversary thing though.  Apparently our first mistake was not buying them gifts.  Who knew kids like gifts?  I thought all that begging for new toys was just excersising their lungs.  You know, like old ladies say babies do.  So when we announced that they would be eating mac and cheese and going to bed, they assumed that as soon as they fell asleep we’d be having jugglers over and renting large bouncers and frolicking naked while eating candy.  Of course, they were only partially correct.  We don’t much care for juggling.

So they decided to punish us by getting up. Every 5 minutes. For 2 hours.  Finally they passed out, and we were able to party as only 2 tired adults and one nursing baby in a living room can.

As I think I mentioned before, I’ve been working on crocheting a bag of bags.  So I ended up writing an article about 30 ways to address the plastic bag problem. There were a couple of false starts, and a lot of frogging, but the bag is finally under way.

4. Shred it and use to make your own recycled paper
