March is here – in like a Lion? You’ll have to be the judge to see if these crafts qualify! Because it’s your clicks on all the little squares of projects below that let us know who to feature each round! For this round of Hookin On Hump Day, your clicks let us know about 5 amazing FREE patterns – hooray! So let’s get to it, and take a look at the best crochet and knit projects from this last round – and while you’re here, be sure to link up your own blog projects, and of course visit all the new entries below that catch your eye!
Though I don’t knit as much (or as well!) as I crochet, I do love being bi-stitchual, and mixing it up from time to time! And I got a great opportunity to try my hand at more advanced knitting recently with the book Dress-to-Impress Knitted Scarves by Pam Powers. And now I’m giving away a copy to one lucky reader!
Welcome back to Hookin On Hump Day – for the last round of 2014! Once again I’m co-hosting with the lovely Kara from Petals to Picots! If this is the first time you’ve been here and you’d like to link up, be sure to check out the “simple rules” section below. For everyone else – let’s enjoy some fantastic projects! When I looked at the clicks for last week, it was a very tight race – with a bit of a theme! Here are the 5 most popular projects:
There are so many wonderful opportunities to use your crochet to help others this time of year, that I wanted to take just a moment to make sure you all knew about this one! Yarnspirations is calling on knitters and crocheters to create the World’s Biggest Stocking – to help the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation!
Do you ever buy a yarn without a project in mind? Or love a pattern, but feel at a loss as to what the right yarn for it would be? Project kits are the answer – and Craftsy has a whole lot of them to choose from! Oh…. and did I mention they’re a great deal? So today’s roundup is some of my favorite Craftsy Project Kits!
I promised an announcement last round, and here it is – Hookin On Hump Days is moving! Well, half of it is moving.
Sara from My Merry Messy Life started Hookin On Hump Days way back in 2012! (Check out one of the first ones ever HERE!) Then when she when she had her 3rd child, she brought me on as co-hostess. And now she’s moving on! She’s been a wonderful person to work with and I wish her only the best. My Merry Messy Life will continue to be a great resource for green living and crafting, but this is the last round that Sara will be involved with.
So she is passing the torch to me… and starting next round I’ll be sharing it with Kara from Petals to Picots! We’ll be going over the rules and working on a new logo, and making the party our own. And it’s going to be more yarn focused as well! So while it’s sad to see Sara go, I think great new things are in store for Hookin on Hump Day on Moogly and Petals to Picots! In the meantime, let’s get started with this round!
