The Simple Marguerite Stitch is a simplified version of the usual Marguerite Stitch, which is also known as the Star Stitch. Unlike it's better known big sister, the Simple Marguerite Stitch uses only 3 tall loops rather than 5. In a way, it's a cross between the Marguerite/Star Stitch and the Trinity Stitch! And like both of these, it has great texture and visual interest. Here's how it's made.

Thanks so much Penny!

You make the "best" everything!! I love all your designs, and can usually tell from a picture that it is yours.....! I don't know what that means, sort of like when a person always wears the same style clothing, I guess. Do you have or can you give us a sample pattern, such as dish cloth or something similar?? Thanks for that, and all that you do!
Tamara Kelly
😀 Thanks so much Dolly! I don't have a pattern using this stitch, but if you wanted to make a simple washcloth with it, I'd use an H or I hook, worsted weight kitchen cotton yarn, and a starting chain of 33 sts. Then just work in rows in the stitch pattern until it's about square!
