Save money on YARN! Get the best deals at the craft stores - JoAnn, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Herrschners, Craftsy, and more!Did you go yarn shopping last week? I know a lot of us snagged that sale cotton at Michaels! And there are more deals available this week! Using this roundup of the weekly deals and coupons at the craft stores will help you save money and time – and that’s something we could all use more of!

Many of these sales only last through the weekend, so be sure to click on the name of the store for current prices if you’re shopping next week! Make sure too that you know your craft store policies – many take competitor’s coupons, and this can really pay off! Please note that the JoAnn and Craftsy links in this article are affiliate links – but that doesn’t change your prices at all!


Save money this week at…

On the site, enter your zip code to get the coupons for the store closest to you. This week I got a coupon for 40% off any one regularly priced item! Be sure to check your receipts – there are usually coupons printed at the bottom. Michaels has a mobile app with available coupons as well, so be sure to download that if you can. Sign up for the email newsletter, and Like Michaels on Facebook for more coupon opportunities.

The current sale runs through April 20th and includes just one item – Red Heart Soft for 50% off.

On the back of the current flyer there is a 40% off coupon, good through May 4th. Inside the flyer there’s a section for the Daffodil Dash sale which includes a 50% off coupon that’s expires today (the 18th), and an additional 50% off coupon for the 19th-20th. There are also usually flyers inside the front door of the store, so always check the basket on your way in.

To get another Jo-Ann coupon, click the logo above, and at the bottom of the page under Shop, click on Store locator. Enter your zip code (if it doesn’t already show your nearest store). When you get the results, click on “More Store Information” and a link to a coupon will pop up. On the website there are more coupons, but they change quickly so check there before you shop. Be sure to sign up for the emails, their mailing list, text alerts, get the app, and Like Jo-Ann Fabrics on Facebook for even more deals.

For Daffodil Dash, which runs until the 20th, you can get Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice and Vanna’s Baby for $2.79, and Sequins and Glamour for $3.49. On sale through May 4th you’ll find 25% off Vanna’s Choice Baby, Pound of Love, Babysoft, Softee Baby, Baby Blanket, Baby Clouds, Baby Coordinates, Jamie, Lovebug, Baby Jacquards, and Baby Sport; Red Hear Super Saver for $2.79; and Red Heart With Love for $3.99. Hobby Lobby
Hobby Lobby has the usual printable coupon for 40% off any regularly priced item. There are an iPhone app and a new Android app that include the same 40% off coupon and ad info, and also have a feature that let you check gift card balances. You can now get the same savings on your non-Apple/Android smart phones by visiting and showing the cashier the coupon on your phone.

On sale through April 20th, you’ll find I Love This Cotton for $2.66 and Yarnology Knit and Crochet Tools and Notions for 25% off.

Craftsy currently ships to the USA and Canada only, but they promise to resume International shipping options soon. If you are in the US or Canada, they’ve got free shipping for orders over $100. They also offer online crochet and knitting classes! There are some brand new classes starting this week, including a class on knitting Heirloom Lace Edgings with the amazing Franklin Habit! There’s also a Curvy Crochet Class taught by Marly Bird that looks pretty fantastic!

There are over 65 yarns on sale at Craftsy right now, at up to 65% off. Shopping online? Another great alternative to the above is Smiley’s Yarns, as well as Knitpicks, and WEBS. I’ve also heard lots of good buzz lately about Deramores, and they have both US and UK sites, with very reasonable shipping rates! Additionally, many manufacturers take orders directly. And if you get the chance, don’t forget to shop at your local yarn stores – small businesses need our support too!
