The One Hour Crochet Bunny Hat is perfect - for Easter, for Halloween, for dress-up... and for the very last minute! Made with super bulky yarn, you can whip these up in a flash!
Long floppy ears and lots of pretty colors - that was the request I got from my niece. Well how could I say no to that face? I whipped up one for her and another for her sister (who did not want to sit still enough for a picture!), and start to finish each crochet bunny hat took less than an hour. I left them plain, but you can embellish them with little noses and such if you like - it's a great base pattern for anything you can imagine!

Am having problems with the pattern for the leapingstripes-blocks-blanket. was wondering if you could help me? The end of round one is not coming out even, and was wondering what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks, Phyllis.

It's hard to say without seeing it. I could be that you're skipping a stitch, or a chain miscount... I'll be making a video tutorial soon, perhaps that will help? In the meantime, since it's a blanket and not a garment, you could always "finish" a few stitches from the end of your chain and just not work the extra chains - they're easy enough to take out at the end.

Super cute hat! I am new to crocheting and I am a bit confused so forgive me if this is a stupid question! After you do your ch 1 do you turn the work to do the hdc or do you keep going the same direction in a spiral?
Tamara Kelly
Thank you Sonya, and congrats on learning to crochet! Like most hats, this is worked in all one direction, no turning. Sort of like a spiral, indeed. 😀
Sonya
Thank you, Tamara! You are awesome for being here to help beginners like me! 🙂 I can't wait to get my little girl's hat done. Thanks again!
Tamara Kelly
😀 You're very welcome!

I made the toddler size and I must crochet very loose becuz it stretches to fit my 14 y/o. LOL I made it for a 2 year old. I got some grosgrain ribbon that matched the purple in the hat and ran it through the loops, and tied it with a bow on the front to the side. Her mom can use that to tighten it up til she can wear it without the ribbon.
I'll have to adjust the pattern some when I make the boy's hat...can't add ribbon and bow to that one. LOL

Gina
Currently working on this bunny hat ... just started making baby hats w/ flaps w/ the Bernat blanket yarn ... This pattern is super easy ... I also want to make adult size (base only) although I know some adults who would sport the bunny ears lol ... I guess I can figure it out but any tips you can give in sizing up the round to fit x=head circumference in inches would be greatly appreciated !!!
Thanks a bunch for publishing this pattern !!

Thank you Gina! To make an adult size, keep increasing in pattern until the circle is about 7" in diameter, and then work even until it's at least 8" tall! 🙂

I found out somewhat last minute that my cousin's baby's first birthday party was going to be while I was visiting my grandmother for Christmas, and I was invited. I made one of these using two strands of Trendsetter Delicious, since it was the best fit I found in my stash, and it was a big hit! Took me more than an hour, but easily done in an evening. Thanks!
Tamara Kelly
😀 I'm glad to hear it! Thank you C.!
