I'm a huge fan of blocking - it can do amazing things to your finished crochet and knit projects, taking them from finished to fantastic! But I've always been a pinner - until I got my hands on Lazadas Super Flexible Blocking Wire Mix Set!
A few days ago I featured some fibre wash, and shared how great it made my scarf look after several years of abuse. Well, the next step in making it look amazing was blocking! Time to try my new Lazadas Blocking Wires!
I'd never used blocking wires before, so I was a little intimidated... no need! Once I got the hang of it (which took less than 5 minutes), it was SO fast to get set up! I just slid the wires long the lace edge, up and down, every few rows.
Then I used the included pins to keep the wires right where I wanted them - and it only took a minute to put a few in and secure a 6' long scarf! I added a couple more on the ends to make the points from the pattern nice too. Speedy!
And look at this amazing, super straight edged scarf! It's never looked better! It made blocking something straight super easy, and I know that the next curved item will be just as great, because the wires are so flexible and easy to use. It works great on knitting of course, but it will work equally well with crochet items!
I am so glad I gave the Lazadas Super Flexible Blocking Wire Mix Set a try! For picture perfect, professional level results, wires just can't be beat. And the Lazadas Mix Set is a great choice. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a blocking wire set of their own - and their $5 worldwide shipping can't be beat!
There are several different options on Lazadas.net, and the Mix Set, shown here, includes four 35" long blocking wires, three 70" long blocking wires, 30 T-pins, and a handy bag to store it all in. Love that! So let's give one away!

This blocking kit looks very interesting. I've always been curious on different blocking techniques and always wind up doing the same....pin it, spray it, dry it. Doesn't mean it always works out wonderfully, but, better than nothing. This may do the trick!

This looks awesome! Pinning becomes hard when I only so little amounts of pins haha! I need to buy some more 😉 Thanks for giving this away! I am definitely going to be looking into this!

Thie seems like the best way to block anything I.ve seen yet. Im new to Knitting and have only made small things as I learn. I'd love to make the scarf pictured it is so gorgeous. And blocking isn't the easiest thing to do. Thanks for a chance at winning!

Setting them up is quicker, but taking them out is SO fast, holy cow! 😀 Good luck Denise!

Just want to say that I'm new to blocking but have blocked a shawl just using pins and found it very hard to keep the three sides straight and even. It sounds like these Lazadas Blocking Wires would make the job so much easier and more accurate. I would be over the moon to win a set!

What pattern did you use for this scarf? It's beautiful! Is there an equivalent pattern in crochet?

Hi Tracie! I linked the pattern in the post. I haven't seen one just like it in crochet, but the Chevron Lace Infinity Scarf is pretty close - and you don't have to make it as an infinity! 🙂
