If you're a fan of AllFreeCrochet, you may have heard about a new emagazine that their parent company Prime Publishing has launched this month - I Like Crochet! And that definitely a statement I can get behind. I've been eagerly awaiting the debut issue for some time now, and I finally got a chance to check out the premier issue - read on to see what I think!
Full disclosure - I might just have some patterns coming out in future issues of I Like Crochet! And it's been a joy to design for - everyone at Prime has always been so great to work with. So as you can imagine, looking over the first ever issue was a real treat!
Every publication needs to find it's groove, but I Like Crochet seems to have hit the ground running. The August issue has everything you could want in a crochet magazine - great articles, an advice column, fun products to try... and of course lots of fabulous patterns! There are nearly 30 designs in this issue alone!
Everything from baby booties to blankets, sweaters to shawls, amigurimi to home decor... and more! I was genuinely surprised at the great range of patterns included in just one issue.
And I really enjoyed reading the articles too - and it was all super easy to navigate. It's not laid out like a paper magazine, with pages to turn. Rather, it's completely navigable, set up like a well designed website... which is what it is of course! So you go right to the patterns and features you want! The photos are gorgeous, the patterns are presented in an easy to read format, and it's all just incredibly enjoyable.
Be sure to check out the I Like Crochet website to get a look at more of the patterns featured in this issue! You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter. I know I'll be subscribing - I can't wait to see what comes next. They offer subscriptions for website, tablet, or both - love that!

It is an interesting magazine, I even subscribed to it. Beware! You must have an iPad that has iOS 7 to install the iTunes app. I didn't see anywhere on "I Like Crochet" website that iOS is required. 🙁
I have contacted customer service for help.

Oh dear! I hope they'll be able to get it sorted for you soon!

I saw the advertisement for this magazine in your newsletter today and followed the link to their website. I don't clearly understand the subscription options. Would you be able to clarify? Does the tablet version allow you to download the issues where the website only version does not? Does the website version only allow viewing without saving to computer, but printing is allowed.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Tracey
I have an iPad 10 pro. How do I subscribe/download this magazine?

Hi Tracey! You can go to http://www.ilikecrochet.com/subscribe/?mqsc=TAKELBL111414 and there should be instructions there. 🙂
