I am so sad that I did not get to participate in the CAL. I was caught up with completing Christmas presents. I would love to try a Furls crochet hook! I currently use an ergonomic metal hook holder so I am very curious to see if the Furls hooks will keep my fingers from going numb like the hook Holder does. I love the Mobley patterns and have used multiple patterns this year in my new retirement crochet business “Nana’s Notions.” You May have noticed that I follow Moogly on Pinterest under my name and my business name. Thank you for the patterns! I love expanding a childhood hobby, learned from my grandmother, with the help from others like Moogly and Furls.

Lovely, as always. 🙂 I love your patterns and use them A LOT.
Although it happened only yesterday, and I'm still a bit upset, I know this will be a "funny" before long. Another tale in my long repertoire of dog-tales.
Just wanted to drop by and tell you the horrible luck I had over the Christmas holiday. First, I want to say that I LOVE the Furls hook I bought through your site. In fact, I took advantage of their sale on the ebony streamline hooks and bought one of those. Yesterday I awoke to our 9 month old mastiff puppy's (already bigger than his mommy and almost as tall as his daddy) shenanigans. He had gotten out of his pen and DESTROYED my multiple bags of crocheting! (I use a reusable shopping bag for each project I'm working on and I have about 10 projects going at any one time to prevent boredom.) That said, I could stand the loss of the yarn, I wasn't happy, but yarn can be replaced. I could even stand that loss of an afghan I had been working on for over a year. Part of it could be salvaged, and I gave that to my great-grandson. The loss I couldn't take was the loss of one of my Furls crochet hooks! They/he (two other dogs got out, but I don't think they were in on the playing/making the mess) must have totally eaten the ebony hook I bought, because I could find nothing of it - no splinters even!. *sigh* So I spent New Year's Day salvaging what I could of the yarn, throwing the hopelessly tangled stuff away, and turning the house upside down looking for the hook.
In a few weeks I will be able to shrug it off and laugh. After all, stuff happens. 🙂
Thanks!
Julie
