Excuses, excuses.

On this past Thursday, the dreaded event finally occurred. The one we feared. The Producer’s car broke down. And it’s not just some little spark plug or starter, it’s Something Big.
Okay, so it’s not that big. It’s just the fuel pump - about $350 to fix, including tow truck. Not great, but for once in our lives, it’s doable.
Except. The Producer wants a truck.
He’s wanted a truck for a long time now. Trucks are manly, and useful, and not “family” vehicles. A few months ago, he went on many futile truck search trips. But the truck of his dreams continued to slip through his fingers. So he decided that he didn’t really need a truck right now, and it could wait.
So, fast forward to this week. Now we are down to one car, which is not a viable situation long term. A decision needs to be made - to fix or not to fix? $350 to have the old beater Lumina up and running again, or $2500 to buy an old truck and fix it up a bit?
Why do I have a feeling this isn’t going to be cheap?
FREEBIE OF THE DAY: If you’re going to drive a truck, you’re going to need a hat.
