Needle felting is quickly becoming one of my favorite hobbies - next to crochet and knitting of course. But anything that uses fiber makes me happy, and needle felting is uniquely wonderful. When it was time for me to upgrade to "real" supplies, I went straight to Clover! And not only did they let me try some of their best needle felting tools, but I also get to give away a set to one very lucky Moogly reader!

If you haven't tried needle felting before, don't worry - it's SO much simpler than it looks and very very beginner friendly. I know when I first went to a class to learn I was all prepared to have to use up all my brain power (and possibly all my bandages).
But instead, I found it easy, relaxing, and the perfect zen activity - an ideal stress reliever. After all, it's stabbing with a sharp pointy stick - that results in beautiful, cute, and creative projects. What could be better? Needle felting is the craft I turn to for soothing, calming, mental health breaks.
That's really all there is to it. Stab the wool so it sticks together and keep poking to get the shape and density you desire! Sculpting with fiber! And it's so much easier with the right tools. I have gone through a *few* bandages on my needle felting adventures so far, but these Clover tools not only make needle felting easier but safer.
There are lots of great tools by Clover for Needle Felting, but here are a couple of my favorites!
The Clover Needle Felting Mat is safety item #1! Stabbing your hand is not much fun, and stabbing your leg isn't much better. A proper work surface is important, and that's what this mat is for. The brush-like surface is ideal for needle felting, as the fiber won't stick to the work surface - making it that much easier to create.
Then there are the needles themselves - kind of important to the whole process! Most needle felting kits come with one or two needles. These "naked" needles work fine of course, but one needle at a time it can be slow going on bigger projects, and the tight grip required to hold one securely can wear out your hand sooner than you like.
Which is why Clover has Clover Pen Style Needle Felting Tool, which can work with 1, 2, or 3 needles. This Pen style is great for small and delicate items. And 3 is faster than 1!
I've been having such a great time with needle felting, including designing some of my own flowers last week - you can see the tutorial here. And I used one more Clover tool, one of the Needle Felting Molds, to make these super cute and tiny mushroom and hedgehog appliques!
And you know I love sharing my crafty discoveries with all of you, so you can click the names of the products shown above to go right to Clover where you can order them directly from the source! Or if you're an Amazon fan, you can check out their selection there too!
I've talked to several needle felting professionals, and whenever I ask, they recommend Clover products. So I know that this is the set to have - and that you don't want to miss out on the giveaway below!
