Chocolate Labs are tasty!

It’s review time again! Because you all care deeply what I think, and tailor your purchasing habits accordingly…
I have a new wine recommendation: Chocolate Lab
With 14.8% residual sugar, you know it’s sweet. And with 10% alcohol, it packs a sneaky little punch. Even better, it’s under $10 a bottle.
But that doesn’t tell the full story. Chocolate Lab is bottled by the Pleasant Valley Wine Co. out of New York. It is self-described as “unabashedly unsophisticated with the familiar fruitiness of the lush, ripe native grapes… With a delightful hint of chocolate…” Hint? If they could make chocolate covered grapes, they would have this wine. It’s listed as a red, but it’s almost brown, has more sugar than any dessert wine they make, and is dense as they come. It’s mellow, but so full, it explodes with flavor. It is too, too easy to drink, even if you don’t like wine. Might be my new favorite, but we’ll see how I feel in the morning.
FREEBIE OF THE DAY: This has nothing to do with wine, but it is certainly unsophisticated.
