Ripples... sorbets and white...big bold bracelets... this fabulous new Chevron Cuff pattern combines several of the hottest fashion trends for Spring 2012! Best of all, it gives you a new piece to wear in one evening, and for just pennies. Instructions are included for two versions - a loose bangle style bracelet, and a tighter cuff with fasteners.

- US F hook, 3.75 mm
- Worsted weight yarn in two colors (shown here in I Love This Cotton Ivory and Aqua - it's greener in person!), about 20 yards of each
- Yarn needle and scissors
- Optional: buttons or hooks and eyes
Chevron Stitch Pattern:
Ch1 and turn. Sc2tog in the first 2 sts, then sc in the next 5 sts. Work 3sc in the next st (the center of the previous row). Sc in the next 5 sts, and sc2tog in the last 2 sts.
Pattern Instructions:
With Color A, ch 16.
Row 1: Sc2tog in the second and third ch from the hook. Sc in the next 5 sts. Work 3sc in the next ch. Sc in the next 5 ch. Sc2tog in the last 2 ch.
Row 2: Work Chevron Stitch Pattern. Before completing the final stitch, switch to Color B (as described in Switching Colors for Striped Patterns).
Row 3 - end: Continue in Chevron Stitch Pattern, switching colors at the end of every even numbered row. Carry the yarn up the side - it will get covered later. Work until the cuff is long enough to fit over your hand when sewn shut OR if a tighter fitting cuff is desired, until it's just long enough to fit around your wrist comfortably. End on a second color B row.
Finishing:
Bangle Style (shown): When the cuff is long enough to fit over your hand, break yarn and finish off, leaving a long tail. Whip stitch the ends together using the long tail, and then weave in. Work a sc border evenly around the top and bottom of the bracelet, and use the seamless join to finish off.
Alternative Tight Cuff Style: When the cuff is long enough to fit around your wrist comfortably, break yarn and finish off. Weave in end. Work a sc border evenly around the top and bottom of the bracelet. Using a bit of thread sew hooks and eyes or add buttons and crocheted button holes to the ends.
