Raking leaves, fighting the holiday crowds, strolling through a maker fair... whatever you're doing to enjoy this autumn, celebrate it with the Bonfire Cowl!

The Bonfire Cowl is made of only double crochet stitches, so it's ideal for beginners - and simple color changes keep it interesting for the more experienced crafter. By moving the colors back and forth across the cowl, this gorgeous pattern emerges! Do you see falling leaves? A bonfire? Or just a riot of fall color?
I've included two sizes for the Bonfire Cowl, and dimensions for both are given below. The Small is shown in the photos, on someone who is 5'8" tall and a size 14. If you prefer a longer cowl or are plus sized, then you may prefer the Large size.
And if you prefer infinity scarves to cowls you can do that too - just keep working in pattern and end on a Row 16 repeat when you've got the length desired! If you to stick to the cowl version (either size) you'll have enough yarn left over to make the matching Bonfire Coffee Cozy!

Really thoughtfully combined, harmonious autumn color combinations! I could also see this done in colors of the Colorado mountain tops.....whites with silver sparkle, deep cavernous blues and perhaps variegated icy blues. Beautiful job!

Very interesting design and color combo. And being all done in dc is quite easy for a beginner and quick to make for a more experienced crocheter. Good for that last minute Christmas gift.
